B. Discussion of School Safety

B.1. District Administration presents for review information regarding school safety as a follow-up to the discussion during the June 7, 2022 Governing Board Study Session. Discussion points include:

• Law enforcement communication and collaboration, particularly in cross- or multi-jurisdictional situations
• Law enforcement partnership with the District to ensure rapid and appropriate response in crisis situations
• Update regarding physical access control at sites
  • Remote locking systems and video intercoms
  • Fencing
  • Office entry issues
• Update regarding communication protocols and 30-second rule
