F.1. Recommend Approval of Renewed IGA with Pima County JTED for Fiscal Year 2023-2024
|
F.1.a. District administration recommends approval to renew the IGA with Pima County JTED for FY2023-2024. This renewal would be for a term of one year. The changes have been developed collaboratively with Pima JTED and have been reviewed extensively by Flowing Wells legal counsel. Changes improve clarity regarding funding split arrangements between Pima JTED and the District and also establish a requirement that Pima JTED and District administration collaboratively review and revise the IGA each year.

|
F.2.a. District administration recommends approval to purchase furniture for the new Community Learning Center and for the new Laguna building from Arizona Furnishings utilizing Mohave contract 18M-AZF-0130. The total cost for both buildings is estimated at $220,038.87, including tax, shipping, assembly, and installation. Funding sources include Gifts and Donations and ESSER.

|
F.8.a. District administration recommends approval to increase Proposition 301 (Classroom Site Fund) and Special Proposition 301 compensation by a total of $3000 per full-time teacher, as summarized in the general compensation increases for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. This $3000 increase would be applied to 301 Base compensation to be paid in regular installments throughout the year.

F.9.a. District administration recommends approval of revisions to Policy GBCA Merit/Performance Pay Programs for Fiscal Year 2023-2024. Revisions include the addition of a $500 experience step following completion of the first year of employment and a $1500 experience step following completion of the twenty-sixth year of employment for certified, exempt, and administrative employees. Revisions also include the addition of a $0.20/hour experience step following completion of the first year of employment and a $0.60/hour experience step following completion of the twelfth year of employment for non-exempt employees.

F.11. Recommend Approval of Contract Addendum Language regarding Buy-Out of Contract from Another Employer
|
F.11.a. District administration recommends approval of a new contract addendum that would afford the opportunity to buy-out a contractual agreement between a prospective employee and that individual's current (former) employer. This addendum clarifies that the District would pay the buy-out amount to the former employer up front and that the employee would pay back the District a portion of the buy-out amount if the employee chose to resign from the District prior to completion of their third year of employment in the District.

F.12. Recommend Approval of Contract with Pueblo Mechanical for Centennial Chiller/Boiler Replacement
|
F.12.a. District administration recommends approval of a contract with Pueblo Mechanical for replacement of the chiller and boiler system at Centennial Elementary School. Estimated cost is $846,433.09 and will be funded through an award from the School Facilities Oversight Board (SFOB). The District would utilize Mohave contract pricing under contract 19F-PMAC2-0904. Anticipated installation date will be summer of 2023 for the boiler and later for the chiller; approval in May of 2023 would provide necessary lead time to order the equipment.

F.13. Recommend Award of Student Travel Services RFP# 23-08-27 to EF Education First
|
F.13.a. District administration recommends approval to award Student Travel Services RFP #23-08-27 to EF Education First. The District issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) $23-08-27 for Student Travel Services on March 21, 2023. Approximately 61 potential vendors were notified of the solicitation and a notice was published in a daily newspaper. Proposals were due April 12, 2023. The District received proposals from three (3) vendors. The evaluation committee reviewed the proposals and requested best and final offers from each vendor. The proposals were evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the RFT. Each committee member ranked the proposals. It is the committee's recommendation to award RFP #23-08-27 for Student Travel Services to EF Education First. Student travel is funded by tax credits, student fees, and fundraising.
