F.3.a. District administration recommends approval to revise Policy GBCA Merit / Performance Pay Programs to clarify language regarding experience step increases for eligible support staff members. Current language states that, for employees who reach an experience step between September 1 and January 31 of a given year (based on their initial hire date), the experience step increase would begin in the first payroll in February. This revision clarifies that the experience step increase begins with the first full pay period in February, which is our current practice. The revision is indicated in the attached policy with strike-through text for deleted language and underlined text for new language.
