F.1. Recommend Approval of Contract with Logicalis to Purchase E-Rate Category 2 Network Electronics
|
F.1.a. District Administration recommends approval to award E-Rate Category 2 Bid 470 #230006181 for network electronics to Logicalis. This bid award would approve Logicalis as the vendor from whom the District would purchase network electronics equipment, specifically firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and licensing, for our current E-Rate Category 2 project. Logicalis’s bid for the network electronics project is $181,869.26. Of this cost, eighty percent would be reimbursed to the District through the E-Rate program.

F.2. Recommend Approval to Purchase Walk-In Freezer from Arizona Restaurant Supply
|
F.2.a. District Administration recommends approval to purchase and install a walk-in freezer at Flowing Wells High School from Arizona Restaurant Supply, Inc. The current freezer is over 25 years old and has required several recent repairs. The purchase would utilize pricing through the Mohave contract # 22G-AZRS-0715 and would be funded with Food Service Funds. The estimated total cost is $164,016.

G.1. Recommend Approval of Team Name and Logo for Flowing Wells Digital Campus
|
G.1.a. District Administration recommends approval of a team name and logo for Flowing Wells Digital Campus. If approved, the team name would be the FWDC Knights, and the logo would be a gold and blue stylized image of a knight. The logo is included for reference in the attached memo.

G.2. Discussion of Draft 2024-2025 School Year Calendar

G.2.a. District Administration will present a draft of the 2024-2025 school year calendar. No action will be taken regarding this item during the current Board Meeting to allow public review and comment prior to a request for approval in February.

G.3. Recommend Approval to Adopt McGraw Hill Exploring Civics and Economics Curriculum
|
G.3.a. District Administration recommends approval to adopt the McGraw Hill curriculum entitled Exploring Civics and Economics. This resource has been tabled for public review for a sixty-day period, and no comments or concerns were submitted during this time. Pending approval, the District would move forward with purchasing the resource for use in eighth grade Social Studies classes beginning in the 2023-2024 school year.

G.4. Review of Revision to Policy CBI - Evaluation of Superintendent
|
G.4.a. A proposed policy revision to CBI - Evaluation of Superintendent is presented for review (no action to be taken at this meeting). The revision simply entails changing the timeframe by which the evaluation must take place to "not later than January 31" (from the current December 18). This would allow the evaluation to align with the mid-year presentation of Goals. The accompanying policy draft includes strike-through text to indicate deletions and underlined text to indicate additions.
