3. Adopt Official Agenda giving the President discretion to take items out of order or in executive session as needed.

4. Approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held on February 12, 2024, and Special Meeting held on February 27, 2024.

5. Consider approval of bills as presented in the amount of $735,517.90 be authorized; that salaries for the month of March 2024 be authorized; that quick pay for February 2024 in the amount of $1,053,043.38 be approved; and that April 2024 salaries and bills to be quick paid be authorized.

6. Requests signed by interested citizens who attend the Board of Education meeting who request to speak to the Board.

7.A. Employ Kwanisha Carroll-Quarles as a permanent substitute teacher, effective January 12, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.B. Employ Nickeal Clark as a substitute teacher, effective January 26, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.C. Employ Jerry Madlock as a permanent substitute teacher, effective January 26, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.D. Employ Karen Ramsey as a Special Education Teacher, effective January 12, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.E. Employ Carolyn Smith as a permanent substitute teacher, effective February 23, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.F. Approve the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) for Sherri Taylor, teacher, effective February 8, 2024, through February 21, 2024. Ms. Taylor will be using her accumulated sick and personal leave in conjunction with her FMLA. Commencement or termination of this leave may be adjusted.

7.G. Accept the verbal resignation of Robert Bergman, maintenance, effective February 23, 2024.

7.H. Employ Tymlyn Haynes as a Pre-K Paraprofessional, effective January 26, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.I. Accept the verbal resignation of Nedra Henderson, health aide, effective February 13, 2024.

7.J. Approve an extension of the leave of absence for Denise Mathis until April 29, 2024.

7.K. Employ Javon Pickett as a PC Technician, effective January 12, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.L. Employ Sarah Shockley as a security officer, effective January 12, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.M. Employ Karkisha Simmons as a CTE Secretary, effective January 26, 2024, contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements.

7.N. Accept the written resignation of Elker Smith, transporation, effective at the close of the 2028-2029 school year. Ms. Smith is requesting to retire under Article 27 - Early Retirement Incentive of the Service Workers Council of Cahokia Federation of Teachers contract. Ms. Smith would also like to reserve the right to apply for any additional state retirement incentives that may become available before her retirement date.

7.O. Accept the written resignation of Dr. Emma Campbell Cornelius, Behavior Supervisor, effective at the close of the 2023-2024 school year.

7.P. Accept the written resignation of Martha Johnson, teacher, effective June 1, 2024.

7.S. Appoint Latasha Bailey-Johnson as the Assistant Director of Non-Certified Personnel, effective March 12, 2024.

7.T. Appoint Alison Brown as an extended hall monitor, effective March 12, 2024.

7.U. Approve a Memorandum of Agreement with the Cahokia Commonfields Federation of Teachers, Local 1272, IFT/AFT, AFL-CIO to compensate health aides when reassigned to a different building.

7.V. Approve the FY25 Consolidated District Plan.
|
7.W. Approve the district to apply for all formula grants for FY25 once released. (Title I, Title IIA, Title IV, Preschool for All, Preschool for All Expansion STATE, IDEA, IDEA Preschool, SIG1003a, and others as applicable and available)

7.X. Authorize administration to award the Band Uniform Bid.

8. Old Business.

8.A. Consider adopting Resolution #24-15 authorizing the Superintendent to enter into an agreement with A.T.G.-Ram Industries, LLC. for synthetic turf installation at the current Cahokia High School, 800 Range Lane, Cahokia Heights, IL, subject to legal review and approval.

9.A. Consider adopting Resolution #24-16 approving the Project Labor Agreement.
|
9.B. Consider adopting Resolution #24-17 to reclassify a certified administrator to a lower paying certified position.
|
9.C. Consider approving a separation agreement with a certified administrator.
|
9.D. Consider discipline of a certified employee, up to and including termination.
|
9.E. Consider non-renewal of a first year teacher.
|
9.F. Consider accepting the hearing officer's recommendation from the discipline hearing held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, to expel a ninth grade Cahokia High School student for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, the entire 2024-2025 school year, and the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year with services.

Consider accepting the hearing officer's recommendation from the discipline hearing held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, to expel a ninth grade Cahokia High School student for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, the entire 2024-2025 school year, and the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year.

9.H. Consider accepting the hearing officer's recommendation from the discipline hearing held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, to expel a ninth grade Cahokia High School student for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, the entire 2024-2025 school year, and the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year. However, the expulsion will be stayed if the student successfully completes remote learning through CUSD #187 with the guidelines of Illinois Virtual School.
