Individuals who have appropriate items for City Council consideration should complete the "Topic for Consideration for City Council Agenda" form located at the information table by the entrance to the Council Chambers.  If the issue can be handled administratively without Council action, notification will be provided.  If the item is scheduled for a meeting, notification of the date will be given.

2.A. Public Hearing - Regarding a request from the City of McCook to approve a preliminary plat which serves as the initial step in the creation of the Walters Second Addition to the City of McCook, Red Willow County, Nebraska.

2.B. Approve the preliminary plat for the creation of the Walters Second Addition to the City of McCook, Red Willow County, Nebraska.

3.A. Approve the minutes of the September 8, 2026 regular City Council meeting and the September 8, 2026 Budget Hearing City Council meeting.

3.B. Approve Resolution No. 2026-21 approving the rescinding of a portion of Resolution No. 2026-15 which previously declared certain properties a nuisance and which now have been abated and cleared of the nuisance as deemed by WCNDD and as declared in the Resolution.

3.C. Ratify the Mayor’s appointments to the Board of Zoning Adjustment - appoint Dean McCoy as alternate - term expires September 2029 and the Parks Advisory Board - reappoint Mark Friehe and Tom Bredvick - terms expire May 2029.

3.D. Approve the issuance of an RFP for qualified environmental professional services for the Saint Catherine's Healthcare Campus Cleanup Grant.

4.G. Ordinance No. 2026-3123 updating documentation of the speed limit zones on Highway 6 & 34, as well as Highway 83, within the corporate limits of the City of McCook as requested by the Nebraska Department of Transportation and approve on its first reading.

4.H. Consider Ordinance No. 2026-3124 setting the salary and compensation of City Manager Nathan A. Schneider.

4.H.2. Consider statutory rule requiring reading on three separate occasions be suspended. Motion to suspend the rule must be adopted by three-fourths of the Council.

4.J. An Executive Session may be held upon a majority vote of the Council for the protection of public interest for a strategy session with respect to collective bargaining - Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 57.

4.K. Adopt Resolution No. 2026-22 ratifying the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of McCook and the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 57 for the period of October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2028, and authorize the Mayor to sign said agreement.
