VII.B.1. Galena Park ISD will recognize Cobb Sixth Grade Campus student Branden Sepulveda and Havard Elementary School student Melanie Garza for participating in the Education in Action Summer 2026 Lone Star Leadership Academy.

IX.A. Holli Malloy, Assistant Superintendent for Academic Support, will present the Academic Spotlight at the September 14, 2026, board meeting. Ms. Malloy will highlight the Academic Support programs. The presentation will be in video format.

X.A. Ed Martir, Director for Facility Planning & Construction, will provide a 2024 Bond Program and Facilities Construction update.
XI. NEW BUSINESS - ACTION
XI.A. Consider approval of the Board Resolution authorizing the District to pay employees for the missed workday or any work performed to directly mitigate the emergency closure on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, due to the anticipated impact of Tropical Depression Edouard, in accordance with the purpose and parameters outlined in the Resolution.
XI.B. Consider approval of the renewal proposal from Texas Political Subdivisions Joint Self Insurance Fund to provide Workers’ Compensation Insurance for the coverage term of October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, for an annual premium of $1,066,325.
