7.1. Building Maintenance Report - R.S.
Discussion:
Ryan Sanger gave the playground inspection report. Extra mulch is needed around the swing set and equipment. Ryan has been busy this summer inputting new carpet, hanging up record boards and state pictures, cleaning strainers and grates on cooling towers, changing filters and ceiling tiles. Ziemba Roofing came to repair a roof leak in the office. AJ's came to repair the HVAC unit in the learning center. Platte Valley Electric is working on a quote to redo the lights in the girls' JH locker and high school locker rooms. Culligan will be bringing a bigger system to keep up with the hard water count. Fire suppression and all the alarms were inspected. All alarms, board and smoke detectors need to be up-to-date. Currently waiting for a quote from Pye-Barker Fire and Safety. Ryan Stearns recommends getting bids to redo all the fire alarms.

Discussion:
Dan Jensen gave his report. All 80-day inspections are complete. Micro Bus #25 is still in the shop awaiting a part. Drivers, coaches and sponsors are completing their annual 2-hour online training. DOT physicals are being completed for route and CDL drivers.

Discussion:
Mrs. Foster gave Mr. Seamann's report. There will be no football scrimmage this year because of their first game so early on August 21st. Volleyball will be having a scrimmage before the football game on August 21st. First volleyball game is August 24th and first cross country meet is August 27th. Currently, the district is looking to fill a Head Boys Wrestling Coach, Jr. High Wrestling Coach and One Acts Head Coach.

Discussion:
Mrs. Pavelka gave an update on the schedules for the staff members on in-service days before school starts on Thursday. Last week, Mrs. Pavelka attended the Principal IPG Training. Mrs. Pavelka has been working with donors to get backpacks and supplies for some families in need.

7.6. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Mrs. Foster attended School Finance last month. The summer food program served 455 breakfasts and 573 lunches in July. The district received reimbursement of $2.91 for breakfast and $5.07 for lunch. The district is currently looking for a full time custodian, wrestling coach, and one acts coach. Our new auditors will be beginning fieldwork on September 17th. Our current enrollment for the upcoming school year is as follows: PK-14, K-14, 1st-5, 2nd-14, 3rd-8, 4th-12, 5th-14, 6th-10, 7th-9, 8th-13, 9th-22, 10th-14, 11th-14, and 12th-21.

8.1. Continuing Education
Discussion:
Mrs. Foster asked the board if the board wanted to continue paying reimbursement towards education. Last year the district paid $39,590.69 in continuing education reimbursement. Board members thought it was a great incentive for staff to help with education. Mrs. Foster recommends the amount that will be transferred will be the cap on how much reimbursement will be offered for the year. The board agreed on transferring $35,000 for continuing education.

8.2. Renewal of CD's
Discussion:
The district has two CDs that are up for renewal for this month. Flatwater Bank mentioned they would be able to do 4.05% at 12 months and 4.10% at 18 months. Currently, the district already has a 12-month CD. A member recommended renewing both CDs as an 18-month CD. It was then recommended to keep one at 12 months and one at 18 months, so the CD's mature within 6 months apart in case of hard times.
