Closed session (executive session) motions must indicate (1) the specific listed reason for having a closing session and which of the two reasons (public interest or prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual) the closed session is protecting. 

The Board must restrict its discussion and consideration in closed session only to those purposes set forth in the motion, as the reason for the closed session.  The meeting shall be reconvened in open session before any formal action may be taken.
