Description:
Nominations and appointments for the positions of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Clerk and Treasurer need to be made for the 2022 year. After three calls for nominations, the acting chair closes the nominations for the office. If only one person is nominated, the chair may declare that candidate elected. If more than one person is nominated, a vote is necessary.

5. Official Newspaper - Action

Description:
The district is required to designate a newspaper as the official newspaper to provide meeting notices, school board summaries, requests for bids, and other official business of the board.
The Austin Daily Herald is the only qualifying newspaper in Austin, and therefore, an appropriate choice for the official newspaper of the District. The quote for 2022 represents an 8% increase over 2021 prices. |
6. Columbus Day Resolution - Action

Description:
In order for business to be conducted on Columbus Day, an "optional" holiday celebrated on the 2nd Monday of October, the School Board must authorize school business to be conducted on this day.

7. 2022 Meeting Schedule - Action

Description:
The District has historically held two School Board meetings per month with the regular business meeting held the second Monday of each month starting at 5:30 pm and a study session the fourth Monday of each month starting at 4:00 pm.
