Request approval to accept the irrevocable notice of resignation/retirement agreement for tenured teacher effective June 18, 2018.

Request approval to hire Mr. Mark Krausz for the substitute FMLA Physical Education/Science teacher position. Mr. Krausz will be replacing Ms. Lauren Evoy while she is out on FMLA. Mr. Krausz will begin working on or around August 23, 2018 through the end of the first semester of the 2018-19 school year. All pre-employment requirements are on file as he worked as a substitute teacher during the 2017-18 school year. Mr. Krausz will be paid $22.00 per hour for six (6) hours of instruction and one (1) hour planning time per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to hire Ms. Maria Valerio Sokolowski for the position of Secretary to the Assistant Principal of Teaching and Learning for the 2018-19 school year pending successful completion of pre-employment requirements. This position is open due to the resignation of Ms. Pamela Mercer. Ms. Sokolowski will work 37 1/2 hours per week at an hourly rate of $30.00.

Request approval to hire Mrs. Nemeh Khatib for the part-time (.4) ELL teacher position for the 2018-19 school year. Mrs. Khatib will teach two (2) ELL classes and will work the rest of the day as an Instruction Aide in the ELL department. This position is open due to the Ms. Sana Khalil's leave of absence. Mrs. Khatib will be paid at BA Step 0 for the .4FTE ($22,467) and $24.92 per hour for four (4) periods per the Collectively Bargained Agreement. All pre-employment qualifications are on file.

Ms. Gabriel is replacing Ms. Nemeh Khatib who will be working in the ELL Department for the 2018-19 school year. Request approval to hire Mr. Jeremy Daugherty for the National Honor Society Assistant Sponsor position for the 2018-19 school year. Mr. Daugherty will be replacing Mr. Thompson whose resignation was approved at the March 19th board meeting. Mr. Daugherty will be paid 2.64% of BA Step 1 ($59,125) or $1,561.00 per the Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Request approval to retroactively hire the following teachers for Summer School 2018. Both teachers have the appropriate certificates and have successfully completed pre-employment requirements. The pay rate is $36.34 per hour for 6/4/18 - 6/30/18 and $37.10 per hour starting 7/1/18 per the Collectively Bargained Agreement. Pay will not exceed 68 hours per 3-week session and employment is determined by need.
