4.A. Policy GCDA/GDDA-Criminal Records Checks and Fingerprinting. (ORS 342.143)

4.A.1. Report on action steps from the June meeting and follow up on next steps from the August meeting:

4.A.1.a. Assistant Superintendent Perrins and Human Resources Director Woodard will check the temperature with our component Districts and the community on how they feel about this.

4.A.1.b. Meet with community partners that we do not typically meet with, i.e. religious communities, after school programs, and community service organizations.
|
4.A.1.c. Follow up with Principals' Joella-Jackson and Koenig about getting students in their programs to start thinking about expunging their records. Get this to be an automatic default.

4.A.1.d. Participate in an information session for the Oregon Senate Judiciary Committee and Oregon House Education Committee

5. Discussion of how to implement goal 2 of the Equity policy in relation to Student Services

5.A. Report on action steps from the June and August meetings:

5.A.1. Review information Don Hicks brought to the August meeting

5.A.2. How do we go about crafting language for a new policy?

5.A.3. Review the MESD RFP process.

5.A.4. What programs have contracts that are up for renewal? This information can be found within the programs.

5.A.5. Work up a plan to check with our current contractors and see if there is any way we can improve in this area.

5.A.6. Assistant Superintendent Perrins will ask Melinee Steck to follow up on the contract list to find out which are minorities or women owned businesses.

5.A.7. Assistant Superintendent Perrins will speak with Leanne Bettine to start a project management chart around this.
