Each year, Education Minnesota celebrates excellence in teaching by naming the Minnesota Teacher of the Year. For the 61st annual award in 2025, 142 candidates have been nominated, and Shakopee teachers have a strong history of recognition in this program, including several semi-finalist designations. This year, Kim Neu, Kindergarten Teacher at Eagle Creek Elementary School, has been selected as a 2025 candidate!
