Rationale:  8.a.i. At Administrator Days in addition to keynote speakers, I attended sessions on: Title IX, SPED Law, Student Behavior, and Keynote speakers-John K Coyle and Michael Bonner.

The June 2023 Special Education Snapshot shows a total of 104 students receiving services in the district.

The total District MDT, IEP and IFSP meetings for the 2022-2023 school year is 192.

Rationale: 

• Administrator Days Review
  • NDE Days
  • NeMTSS: enhancing Systems of Leadership - Discussed the power of leadership and the value of a process in MTSS process
  • Expanded Learning: Sustaining a Statewide Movement - Talked of ELOs - what they are and why they are important.
  • NSCAS 2023-2024 and Beyond - Talked of the current State of Nebraska state testing and the current task of the future.
  • Cavaities vs Root Canals - Differentiated between Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports, Focused on language - Tier 2 and Tier 3 are supports - NOT students, Spoke Elementary (K-6) and Secondary (7-12) examples.
  • Collective Teacher Efficacy - Researched based presentation, Effects on Student Achievement,
  • Coming to a school near you - Daycare Shortages and how one community addressed the shortage.

Rationale: 

• Attendance at Administrator days: Great to hear the speakers and gather information both from NDE and from other professional colleagues.
  
  Session topics attended: NSCAS updates, full-service community schools. Continuous school improvement, State and federal accountability, Supporting schools with connectedness, compliance updates, Building caring school culture, accountability with school attendance, and KSB Law updates.

    • Overall enrollment is 178 and we have 11 new students coming to WPMS

• PLC Training in Minneapolis (June 27th - June 30th)
  • A variety of sessions were offered including keynote presentations each morning. The West Point staff discussions at the end of each day were especially valuable in providing me insight into the current strengths and areas for improvement in the West Point PLC process.
• Administrator Days in Kearney (July 25th - July 29th)
  • Gained exposure to current online tools using artificial intelligence that educators need to understand and account for. The keynote by Michael Bonner, from Ron Clark Academy, was particularly inspirational and valuable for start of the year preparations.
• 9-12 Digital Citizenship Assembly (August 23rd 8:30 - 9:30) presented by KSB

o Discus areas will have new pads poured and new surrounds for safety.

The last keynote was amazing! The speaker was from
the Ron Clark Academy and was very engaging and had a great message!
The main message of this session was, "Progress is impossible without change!"

Rationale:  This meeting allows us to pay final bills for the fiscal year.
