Notice is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the School District of Jenkintown (the "Board") shall convene its Combined Work Session/Business Meeting on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 7:00 PM in the Community Room. The Pennsylvania Open Public Meetings Law was enacted to ensure the right of the public to have advance notice of and to attend the meetings of public bodies at which any business affecting their interests is discussed or acted upon. In accordance with the provisions of this Act, The School District of Jenkintown School Directors has caused notice of this meeting to be given by having the date, time and place advertised in The Intelligencer newspaper on December 21, 2025, as well as posted on the School District's website and in the Administration Office. The Board reduced the interim assessment, effective 7-1-25, from $3,225,320 (2025 fmv: $9,803,400; 2026 fmv: $10,485,400) to $3,015,530 (2025 fmv: $9,165,700; 2026 fmv: $9,803,400), and the owner appealed. The owner’s appraisal, submitted after the hearing, valued the property at $8,450,000 as of 7-1-25. The District and owner agreed to settle at the following, which represents values slightly higher than the split between the current market values and the owner’s appraisal value:
