*A. Personnel Approval/Updates Instruction: None Staff: None *B. Out of State Travel Requests 1. Approval of out-of-state travel for Dr. Scott Alsobrooks to travel to Washington, D.C. with the Kemper County Supervisors on March 4-6, 2025 to meet with MS Senators and Representatives. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 2. Approval of out-of-state travel for Teretha Conner and Susan White to travel to NACADA in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 26-29, 2025. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 3. Approval of out-of-state travel for Dr. Nikita Ashford-Ashworth to attend the Mississippi Policy Fellows Program in Washington, DC, on April 28th-May 2nd. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 4. Approval of out-of-state travel for Adam Hudson and William Everitt to attend the Ellucian Live Conference in Orlando, Florida on April 6-9, 2025,. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 5. Approval of out-of-state travel for Kevin Hurt, Brittany Eakes – FST Instructors and 20 students ( Merritt Bynum, Derrick Carr, Taylor Essary, Matthew Gay, Cole McBride, Kayla McIntosh, Mae Miller, Blake Montgomery, Riva Morris, Rachel Wilder, Autumn Beach, Jordan Butler, Mia Cyrique, Chyna Edwards, Darian Lewis, Summer Love, Maddyx McNatt, Katelyn Melton, Drew Edwards and Will Turner to New Orleans, LA March 17-19, 2025, for an industry visit. The trip will be paid for with club funds for students and local funds for the instructors. 6. Approval of out-of-state travel for Dr. James L. Rush to attend the Phi Theta Kappa Annual Conference in Kansas City, MO on April 3-5, 2025. Expenses will be paid for by local funds.
7. Approval of out-of-state travel for Jill Savely and Brandy Burnett to attend the 2025 Early College Summit in Winston-Salem, NC on June 9-12, 2025. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 8. Approval of out-of-state travel for Cathy Stennis and Samantha Griffin to attend the 2025 NASFAA in Anaheim, CA on June 24-27, 2025. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 9. Approval of out-of-state travel for Carlton Hollis to attend the NC3 Train-the-Trainer in Wichita, KS on June 8-13, 2025. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. 10. Approval of out-of-state travel for Dr. Joshua Carroll and three students – Brody Clay, Evan Jolly, and Shacobe Rush to San Francisco, CA, April 4-9, 2025, for the International DECA Conference. The students won first place in the category of Entrepreneurship – Growing a Business at the State Collegiate DECA competition on February 20-21, 2025 in Biloxi, MS. Expenses will be paid for by local funds. |
