III. The Board of Education will vote to convene in closed session pursuant to Wis. Stat. Sec. 19.85(1)(a) and (b) as follows:

(b) "Considering dismissal, demotion, licensing or discipline of any public employee or person licensed by a board or commission or the investigation of charges against such person, or considering the grant or denial of tenure for a university faculty member, and the taking of formal action on any such matter. . .,” and

(a) [d]eliberate concerning a case which was the subject of a quasi-judicial hearing before [the Board],” for the purpose of considering and deliberating over the District Administration’s separate recommendations to terminate the employment and Wis. Stat. §§ 118.21/118.22 teacher contract and the respective response, if any, by the teacher and the teacher’s representative.

Please note that public employees, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(b), have the right to request that a portion of this matter be addressed in open session. It is possible that the Board’s discussion, consideration, and action concerning the administration’s recommendation to terminate the employment of the professional staff members and the response, if any, by the professional staff member and the professional staff member’s representative, may be conducted in open session. However, a decision to conduct this portion of the meeting in open session will not affect the Board’s ability to deliberate in closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(a).
