Discussion:
There were no requests to address the Shelton Public Schools Board of Education. However, there was one visitor was present.

5.a. Financial Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Engel reported on the district's financial expenditures and the cash position of the district. Mr. Engel reviewed the current balances of accounts. There were some questions on the differences in expenditures compared to the previous year (2025) in the month of July, Mr Engel will provide further details if required by the board.

5.c. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Superintendent Engel gave a variety of updates on buildings, grounds, and maintenance along with his report on the financial status of the district. There was discussion around offering $25.00 per employee in reimbursement towards the purchase of Bulldog merchandise in the merchandise store. This did not require a motion or formal approval and there was no dissent in offering this. The district will be seeking options for snow removal and evaluating the options for potentially doing it with district equipment and labor.

5.d. Elementary Principal's Report
Discussion:
Pre-K through 6th grade currently has an enrollment of 167. However, Principal Kenton noted that there may be changes to this enrollment number. Mr. Kenton highlighted welcoming the new staff into the building earlier this morning.

5.e. HS Principal's Report
Discussion:
Principal Hostetler highlighted some of the training from Admin Days. Current enrollment is 183 students. This is subject to change. Principal Hostetler included athletics participation numbers for fall sports as well.

ESU 10 completes ongoing reviews of district infrastructure and warranty status for their member schools. In their review, our warrant on our server has expired and they recommend replacing it.
