1. Attendance
Discussion:
Also in attendance were Don Hague and Tim Meisner.

2. Substitue Teacher Pay Schedule
Discussion:
Hague distributed an array of substitute teacher pay. Variations were reviewed and discussed. Hague explained how Gering's rates are determined and/or revised. Recommendations and suggestions were provided by committee members.

3. Extra Duty Schedule
Discussion:
Procedures regarding pay increases to the extra duty schedule were discussed. Individual positions were reviewed. The committee wishes the Activities Director to be involved in the process of updating the schedule when needed.

3.1. Coach Drug Testing
Discussion:
A response about the random drug testing of coaching staff from Greg Perry was reviewed. This will be a topic of discussion at the next Board meeting. The district is creating a policy for random drug testing for students involved in extra curricular activities.

4. Evaluation Schedule
Discussion:
Hague explained the schedule and procedures for evaluations of district staff. Recommendations and suggestions were discussed. The time frame for evaluations was reviewed.

5. Administrator Compensation
Discussion:
Hague discussed the grouping of district administratiors pertaining to compensation. Details and specifics were reviewed. Hagues's recommendation will be made in June.

6. Superintendent Goals
Discussion:
Hague distributed a copy of his goals for 2012-2013. The goals were developed from his evaluation. Hague asked that any changes and/or additions be provided to him so he can add them to his list.

7. Superintendent Search
Discussion:
Winn is working on developing criteria for this position. Hague recommended interviewing two firms for the search and determine who to utilize after hearing their proposals. The time frame for this project is July of 2012. Interviews should occur by January of 2013. The full board will make this decision. The committee will review Hague's list and provide feedback.

8. Meal Expenses for Travel
Discussion:
Meisner informed the committee that a policy needs to be developed regarding meal stipends for staff when traveling. One daily per diem was suggested by the committee instead of per meal. Meisner pointed out that breakfast is included with room charges at hotels and that most seminars and conferences provide meals as well.
