2. Comment from Board President about public participation and procedures for the meeting
Discussion:
Mr. James Phelps addressed the body with instructions on how public comment would be handled for tonight's meeting and thanked everyone for their participation in the democratic process.

4. District Financial Data Presentation
Discussion:
Mr. Furrow presented on school finance. He informed the body of the process of budgeting, gave a brief history of our schools financial condition and presented the options under consideration for tonight's meeting.

5. Public Comment to the Board of Education | Stakeholder input on budget planning
Discussion:
Board President explained tax revenue, as well as changing the historical look at tax revenue from September to November. Mr. Furrow explains the timing of the tax revenue.
Public Comments: Mrs. Kay Myers - Expressed her family history with this school district and requests we spend the money wisely. Terry and Jean Adams - Passed public comment Marion Chesley - Passed public comment Bill & Judy Reiff - Thanked the board, Administration and Teachers Anna Johnson - Would like the board to think about the impact the Budget will make on the Teachers and Staff and requests a plan to support them Randy Kimball - Made statement that prior superintendent from years past was the elementary principal. He also questioned who would be pulling the weeds near the teachers parking. Duane Kimball - Referenced tax credits, Building Fund and wage increases. Kade Owens - Passed public comment David Pandorf - Passed public comment Jon Brohman - Expressed his overview of his taxes, and to look at how to spend tax payer money better. |

7. Board Discussion on 2026-2027 Budget
Discussion:
The Board President requested any additional comments after the break-out session, with nothing new added from the community members present.
The board members each discussed the conversations from the break out session and gave their opinions about the best option for the 2026-2027 budget. Informal straw pull was held for patrons in attendance. After further discussion, Mr. Furrow was instructed to proceed with Option 2 (4.72% Revenue Increase). Meeting Adjourned at 10:02 pm |
