September 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM - REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

A motion was made by Jerry Kovarik and seconded by Brett Hammond to approve the consent agenda. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Janna Tripe and seconded by Lori Tripe to approve the receipts, expenditures, and payment of claims from the General Fund for $422,181.43 and from Activity Fund for $8,149.24. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Scott Prickett and seconded by Lori Tripe to in favor of passage and adoption of the 2018-2019 Budget Resolution, as presented and published in the Harlan County Journal. A copy of the entire budget resolution is available in the office of the superintendent. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Jerry Kovarik and seconded by Janna Tripe to approve the District's Tax Request for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. General Fund at $3,203,909.06 ($0.924999 levy); no tax request for the Bond Fund; Special Building Fund at $225,136.36 ($0.064999 levy), and Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund at $80,808.08 ($0.023330 levy). A copy of the resolution in it's entirety is available in the office of the superintendent.. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Brett Hammond and seconded by Lori Tripe to approve use of the facilities for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade volleyball. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Scott Prickett and seconded by Jerry Kovarik to to use. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.

A motion was made by Scott Prickett and seconded by Lori Tripe to recognize ATA as exclusive bargaining agent for certified staff. After discussion and on roll call vote the Board voted as follows: Passed.
