Discussion:
Principal Mrs. Lisa Burgin welcomed those in attendance. Jack Maxwell from Boy Scout Troop 137, also Liam Maxwell and Markus Dilling of Cub Scout Pack 188 posted the colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Good News Awards (on file) - Highlighted: FSSD Student Artist of the Month PGES 4th grader Clayton Hodgin; FMS teachers Diane Miller, Jessica Cervenak, Brooke Grider and psychologist Hanni Watson, who presented at the TN Partners in Education Conference in February; FMS teacher Nicole Goode and Maintenance Technicians Doug Bartke and Bobby Dickson for the 3-dimensional mural placed in their office.

· Nikki Russell, 961 Glass Street, Franklin, parent of Nick Russell, student of Poplar Grove Middle – addressed the Board regarding concern of chemical fumes being emitted during re-roofing at Poplar Grove Middle. · Nick Russell, 961 Glass Street, Franklin, student of Poplar Grove Middle – addressed the Board describing symptoms he has had during the re-roofing project. · Daniela Kunz – addressed the Board regarding National Health Schools Day, the group “Parents for Students Safety”, indoor air quality, and Poplar Grove re-roofing. · Dan Lampkin, father of Freedom Intermediate student – addressed the Board on several issues regarding the Transportation Department and school incidents. |

1. Realtor Good Works Foundation - Kyle Shults and Jordan Vaughn presented a check in the amount of $30,000 for the purchase of playground equipment on behalf of this foundation. 2. Executive PTO Report – there was not a report. 3. Teaching and Learning Spotlight - “2017-18 Registration” - Information presented is highlighted in the Teaching & Learning report (on file). Recognized were: Drew Bingham, Celby Glass, Susannah Gentry, Helen Castillo, attendance secretaries, parent liaisons, principals, and assistant principals for their diligent work in the registration process. 4. Construction Report – Information on current construction was provided prior to the meeting for the Board (on file). |
