Action(s):
No Action(s) have been added to this Agenda Item.
Discussion:
Amanda Lee told the Board that she wanted to applaud the committee for the work they did on the Custodial Bid. The time and effort they spent gathering information on current and previous business practices, checking references, and rating these companies. The committee were given a rubric scale with 5 factors to score for each company. ABM came out with the highest score of 676 and an average of 84.5. They were 20 points higher than any other company that bid. She also told the Board that you very rarely find that a District as a whole is satisfied with a janitorial service but from the survey that was sent out - that is the case for Bradley County Schools. ABM's bid proposal will render Bradley County Schools an annual cost savings of $154,381.00 and $617,524.00 over the life of the contract. The recommendation of the committee is to award the janitorial bid to ABM.
