Call the meeting to order - 7:30 p.m.
Discussion:
President T. Tegeler called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present were: Broberg, Johnsen, Negus, R. Tegeler and T. Tegeler. Absent: Schutt.

Recognize Visitors - ‘Public Comment’ - refer to "Open Meetings Law’
Discussion:
President T. Tegeler referred to the open meetings law and welcomed visitors. Landon Rutjens and Mrs. Parks talked briefly about the national FBLA convention they attended. Landon competed into the Intro to Info Tech category and placed 6th nationally. Irelyn Bearinger also attended the convention but was not able to be at the meeting as she was completing some of her state parliamentarian duties.

Mr. Hahne explained that NRCSA is a good program as they lobby for rural schools, hold a spring education conference annually and many other things that help rural schools.

Principals' Report
Discussion:
Mrs. Novicki spoke about MAP testing starting September 9, 20025, homecoming events, Apply to College Day, yearbook workshop and the upcoming parent teacher conferences. Several teachers will attend the MTSS conference in Kearney, NE October 9th & 10th. Mr. Black spoke about hosting grandparents day and also stated the school year is off to a good start.

Labor Relations Conference - Oct. 1 & 2
Discussion:
Mr. Hahne reminded board members to let him know if they plan to attend the labor relations conference.

Negotiations - 1st mtg before Nov. 1
Discussion:
The board's negotiations committee needs to meet before November 1. Mr. Hahne asked the committee members to check their calendars for dates that work for them to meet with the teachers.

State Education Conference - November 19-21
Discussion:
NASB hosts the state education conference at the CHI Center in Omaha November 19-21. If board members plan to attend they need to inform Mr. Hahne.

Sports Complex update
Discussion:
Schutt arrived at 7:54 p.m. Mr. Hahne stated that bids for the sports complex are coming in at or just below expectations. The dirt work is approximately 1/3 done.
