Discussion:
Phil Cole from the Brule Community Center Association addressed the board. He thanked the board for the past partnership with SPBOE for gym usage. He offered the same partnership for the 2024-2025 school year. Denise Moorhead addressed the board. Trevor Schuessler, Rauner and Associates, P.C. presented the audit report for the 2023-24 school year.

VII. Principals Report

Discussion:
Mr. Nick Brost gave the principal's report. Congratulations to the Students of the Month: Christian Scherbarth, Kayt Allen, Audrey Moorhead, Isaac Hoaglund, Carla Gomez, Sarah Hobbs. Winter Sports (BBB, GBB, B & G Wrestling) had preseason meetings. Unified Bowling participated at Ogallala, with upcoming events at Gering and North Platte. One Act performed at the North Platte Festival and placed first in their group. Quinten Koenen received the outstanding male lead performer, Emma Spiehs received an outstanding supporting female performer. Outstanding performer awards were Ella Stanley, Luca Duncan, Cordell Frerichs, Chloe Jacobs and Jillian Frerichs. NHS hosted a blood drive. The Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 25 had 70% of 7-12 grade parents attending. During the Teacher In Service, Lane Swedberg from ESU16 presented to HS teachers about setting high expectations. All teachers completed a MTSS self assessment for NDE. Mrs. Sylvester and the HS Spanish classes attended Justo Lamas, a Spanish concert. Mrs. Scherbarth, the Senior class, Mrs. Jacobs and the music department had the Veterans Day Program. SRO Report: Deputy Rushman is planning on scheduling reading time for elementary classes. There is a week-long SRO training session at the beginning of December.

Discussion:
Mr. David Spencer's Superintendent's Report: Special thanks to the music department, media production, Mrs. Scherbarth and the seniors for the K-12 Veterans Day Program, which was very well attended. Several state reports have been filed. Thank you to Mrs. Moorhead for all of her help with the upcoming Nutrition Audit. Cyber Insurance Claim update: we have been transferred to a different claims department. Safe to Help Threat Assessment Training is completed. Mr. Spencer and Mrs. Stanley are registered to attend the NASB State Conference Nov. 20-22. The Lions Club is rescheduled for January 14, 2025. Homecoming and Red Ribbon Week were successful, thanks to the Booster Club and Student Council for the hard work on these activities. Book Blast is to help students build their home libraries. Thanksgiving Break is Nov 27-29. 79 students were served honor roll brownies and ice cream.
