V.J. ACT 12 Report Update
Description:
Wisconsin 2023 Act 12 created Wis. Stat. § 118.124, which requires high schools to collect statistics on certain state and local law violations occurring on school property during certain times. This law applies to public high schools, including independent charter schools, and private high schools participating in the Wisconsin Choice program. Schools must report those statistics to the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) by July 31 of each year. The law also requires DPI to include certain school, school district, and statewide totals and averages regarding such statistics in school report cards. However, the statistics will not be considered when determining a school's performance or school district's improvement for the report card.

Description:
This preliminary budget includes estimates, $250,000.00 out of fund 46 and the deficit proposed was shown to the public during the last referendum cycle and is lower than what was projected at that time.
