X.C. Policy #5123.1 Summer School

Rationale:
Middletown High School Principal Robert Fontaine brought forward to the Policy Committee a situation concerning Summer School. Following the present policy, if a student fails the fall semester of this year and doesn't go to Summer School, he/she must take the entire year over. As Middletown High School has changed core courses, such as algebra and science to now be a full year course containing four quarters instead of two semesters, Mr. Fontaine is recommending the Board relax the Summer School policy rule for one year.
