Trey Smith highlighted two recent examples of positive press for EMHS.
KRQE highlighted EMHS as having the best attendance rate of any Albuquerque area school. Spanish teacher Sierra Hostetler was recognized as an "Above and Beyond Educator" by Albuquqerque the Magazine. |

Discussion:
Trey Smith presented an overview of how schools in NM are funded and the school budget picture for FY23.
Comments from Brent McCall were made regarding increasing legislative advocacy so that the message is clear that there was not enough funding in this year's allocation. Mike Wismer expressed a renewed commitment to further expansion of the school in light of budget concerns. |

VIII.A. Middle School and Expansion Update
Discussion:
Glenn Hushman reported that the middle school and expansion committee has pushed the timeline back for a full recommendation based on findings from the architecture firm.
He reported the committee is also researching possible expansions at the high school level. |
