6.1. Superintendent
Discussion:
Mr. Hoesing discussed staffing and hiring a night custodian. He discussed getting estimates on gym lobby to update the lobby. We are also getting bids for kitchen door, gym and weight room door as well. Also received estimates from Thorton Flooring for elementary and bathroom. We also locked in rates for computers for 25-26 school year. He also discussed legislative happenings and bill that were past. LB390 passed and requires each school board to adopt a policy implementing creation of cataloging all books and providing communication to any parent or guardian when students checkout books and what book was checked out. LB140 on student cell phones advanced to final reading and also the retirement bill LB 295 also advanced to final reading. Parental Involvement LB 428 moved to final reading as well. Lastly he discussed the Education Package (Christmas Tree Bill): LB 653. Its a catch all bill that incorporates a large amount of legislation affecting PK-12 schools.

6.2. Principal
Discussion:
Mr. Anderson discussed state wide testing and scheduling dates for that. Graduation is less than a month away and we are graduating 17 seniors. FBLA/SLC 20 students participated and did well qualifying 3 for nationals. Skills USA took 7 kids and was successful as well qualifying 1 high school student and 3 FFA students competed in state convention in Lincoln. Art competitions took place and we had a tremendous amount of work present and had great showings. He also noted looking through the calendar and all the successes students are doing very well with all their activities.
Mrs. Heimes touched on the vending machine and 394 students have earned a book. $1300 in books have again been donated through an April Donors Choose Project. Scholastic book fair was held and did well. 38% of the gross goes toward the AR rewards program. Preschool and Kindergarten roundup were held Both had a great turnout. She also noted we are currently searching for summer school teachers and we are contacting 24 families about the opportunity to attend summer school and we will send out flyers. She also noted we will be sending out a flyer concerning the school suppl kits and the 2 types of kits parents can by. it is optional They will be available to purchase in advance and we are looking at buying items in bulk to help reduce costs to families. She also noted educational field trip 5th grade attended the Cedar Knox Electrical safety trip. Kids learned a lot and had great hands on experience. Preschool attended Pfannies farm and had lots of fun. 3rd and 4th grade will be going to Life on the Farm provided by the Nebraska Extension. She also noted on 2025-2026 professional development plannings they will be doing, upcoming NSCAS/Maps testing and proposal for Student Safety updates. to the handbook. |

6.3. Activities Director
Discussion:
Mr. Conn discussed the track squad has competed in 4 meets so far and all are doing well. Music students will compete in the District Music contest April 25th. Speech team won the 2025 Class D-1 State Speech meet held in Kearny. Golf has 10 participants out for golf this year and they have gotten their season underway.
