VI. Superintendent and/or School Board Member Report

Goal Area 1 - Academics:  All learners will continuously demonstrate academic growth.

Goal Area 4 - Communication:  We will improve communication and strengthen relationships both internally and externally.

Goal Area 5 - Finances:  We will advocate to increase the financial resources of the Corporation to provide an outstanding school environment and opportunities for our students, staff, and community.

VII. Professional Development

VII.A. We recommend Melissa Day attend the CIESC (Central Indiana Educational Service Center) Student- Centered Coaching Candre on January 23, 24, March 13 and 14, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana with expenses paid from the Title IIA fund.

VII.B. Recommend approving the Professional Development items.

VIII. Leave/Resignation/Employment
All new employment to Lake Ridge New Tech Schools is contingent upon a cleared Expanded Criminal History Background Check within 30 days and a cleared Expanded Child Protection Index Check within 60 days of effective date.  IC 20-26-2-1.5 and IC 20-26-2-1.3

VIII.A. We recommend accepting Joseph Bickham’s resignation from the Music Teacher position at Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School effective December 22, 2022.
 

VIII.B. We recommend approving Amberlyn Czubara’s termination from the  Instructional Aide position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective January 9, 2023.
 

VIII.C. We recommend accepting Maria Ramos’ resignation from the Student Supervisor Position at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective December 22, 2022.
 

VIII.D. We recommend approving Diane Anderson be employed as a 3^rd Grade Teacher at Longfellow New Tech Elementary effective January 9, 2023.

 

VIII.E. We recommend approving Taylor Piekarcyzk be employed as an Instructional Aide at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective January 9, 2023.
 

VIII.F. We recommend approving Maria Ramos be employed as the EL (English Learner’s) Instructional Aide at Longfellow New Tech Elementary School effective January 9, 2023.
 

VIII.G. We recommend approving Tatiyana Turner- Jones be employed as the 7^th Grade Math Facilitator at Lake Ridge New Tech Middle School effective January 10, 2023.
 

VIII.H. Recommend approval of the Leaves/Resignations/Employment items.

IX.A. We recommend approving the following fundraisers at Calumet New Tech High School:                                                                   

• January 13, 2023 - January 27, 2023- Frito-Lay variety packs sales for the JAG Account.
• January 27, 2023 - Warrior Winter Family Movie Night refreshments and ticket sales for the Student Senate Account.
• January 27, 2023 to January 31, 2023 - Double Good Popcorn online sales for the Prom Account.

IX.B. We recommend approving the following donations made to Calumet New Tech High School:         

• November 29, 2022, for the amount of $22.00, check #7685 for the Swim Account from Cecil Wingo.
• December 13, 2022, in the amount of $50.00 in cash for the Cross Country Account from various donors.
• December 13, 2022, for the amount of $695.00 check #1590 for the Swim  Account from Haunted Hills, Inc.
• December 13, 2022, amount of $305.00 check #1590 to the Girl’s Tennis Account from Haunted Hills, Inc.
• December 13, 2022, the amount of $580.00.00 check #1590 to the  Volleyball Account from Haunted Hills, Inc.

 

IX.C. We recommend approving the amended hiring recommendation for Holly Plowman.
 

IX.D. We recommend approving the Teacher Compensation request for Stephen Hutchins for the 2022- 2023 school year. 

IX.E. We recommend approving the attached list of Longfellow New Tech Elementary School ECA Stipends for the 2022-2023 school year.
