1. Declaration of Intend -- Open Meetings Act
Rationale:
Notice of the meeting was posted to the SEM Mustang school website, SEM Facebook and over the school reach notification system for the Negotiations Board meeting to be held on Monday, January 13, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. in the Conference Room. The agenda was available on the SEM Mustang school website and available in the Superintendent's Office. All proceedings hereafter as shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public, unless noted as executive session. This meeting was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 84, Article 14 posted in the School Library.

Rationale:
S-E-M Education Association will present their proposal. The board will break and discuss and may come back with a counter-proposal.

Discussion:
SEMEA provided two attachments: 1) The School Year, SEM Base Salary & Negotiated Change 2) Their proposal of items they would like for the 2025-26 school year
The board left and after a discussion returned to the board and offered the following: 1 PTO day, and $1,200 on the Base to make the base $39,520. SEMEA declined and came back with they needed $40,000 as the base. The board agreed to giving the teachers a $40,000 base for the 2025-2026 school year. |
