8.1.1. Building and Grounds Committee
Discussion:
The committee met 8-13-25, Derek Anderson, Adam Erdkamp, Kendra Jansky and Tyler Bartels met in Friend and began working on a five-year maintenance and renovation plan. Immediate issues are HVAC repairs at Friend. Demolition of the old Exeter high building may begin next summer. They are beginning to discuss HVAC replacement in the Friend high school building, along with press box and bleachers at football field, and FCS room updates. Discussed weight room, band room and shop areas. Roofing assessment will be done in the future.

8.1.2. Area Committee
Discussion:
The committee met August 27th with Derek Anderson, Adam Erdkamp, Eric Milton and Jamie Tuttle. They discussed conference affiliation. Discussed an opportunity to co-op baseball with Centennial. We will continue to analyze consolidation progress.

8.1.3. Policy Committee
Discussion:
Committee met on Sept 4th, with Derek Anderson, Tiffany Shonerd, Tyler Bartels, and Jamie Tuttle. They reviewed BOE Policy 7000-series. The changes suggested are presented for vote tonight.

8.2.1. Elementary Principal's Report
Discussion:
Laura Kroll reviewed the recent Blue River Cohort meetings. She summarized Dr. Rob Bell's message at that presentation. We will use Remind app for classroom-parent communication. The Friend preschool will have a Rule 11 review by NDE in October.

8.2.2. Secondary Principal's Report
Discussion:
Liz Stutzman discussed school events, including the upcoming Homecoming week festivities. She reviewed the Middle/High School Master Schedule to discuss new offerings, and class loads. She also let the board know how many students are taking dual credit college classes.

Discussion:
Derek Anderson said he and staff members are meeting with area businesses to determine which job skills are desired in our high school students. Work Based Learning. Buildings and Grounds will meet again this fall to discuss HVAC and other needs.
