Governor's Budget Arizona State known deficits How the State level budget affects PUSD
Discussion:
Kathie Manning presented documents and explanations for the state budgets, deficits and how that affects the district.

IV.B. Information and Discussion on 2024-25 Staffing Ratios
Discussion:
The Board received the expected staffing ratios for next fiscal year based on flat average daily membership and rolling the class sizes up to the next grade. This is a forecast which has many variables at the present time.

IV.C. Information and Discussion on ESSER/COVID Relief Funds
Discussion:
The Board received packets reflecting how the ESSER monies were spent on combating learning loss, in the classroom and keeping staff employed. The last series of funding due to COVID is expected to expire by September 2024.
