IV.A. Superintendent's Report
Discussion:
Linda Gibson shared that the Rotary is hosting a chili dinner this Thursday at the Senior Center. She thanked the four teachers from JRE that took 5th grade students to the flag raising at the Tonto Apache Reservation. Congratulations to Tracy Frandsen for winning the APS $500 scholarship. She has been invited to speak at the Republican Party lunch August 31st. It is Homecoming Week with the parade on Thursday morning, the game Friday night and the dance on Saturday night.

IV.A.1. Heroes of Public Education - Lyman Ranch

Taylor Merrick & Ginger Liddell
Discussion:
Cassie Layman was honored. Lyman Ranches are dedicated supporters of Payson schools, Payson FFA, and all the surrounding communities. Everything they do has an impact on our students and is done in the interest of the youth and the community. Not only have they been monetary supporters of our FFA banquet, they have also offered they're knowledge of the agriculture community through field trips and guest speaker presentations. Cassie has helped our FFA program to build connections within the agriculture industry and has always made sure our students of all ages involved in the Northern Gila County Fair have opportunities to learn and grow from that experience. With students in every PUSD school, the Lymans are prominent and proud supporters of our school and community.

Discussion:
Michell Marinelli has been attending football and softball games. Audrey Hogue and Jolynn Schinstock have been attending games also.

Josh Beck, Stella Gore and Michael Driscol from Gila County Health Department attended the meeting via phone. They answered the boards questions and updated them on the latest numbers. They clarified the quarantine protocols.
