Mrs. Gibson thanked Mollogon Sporting Association, MHA Foundation, RVN3, the Golf Club and Backwoods Bar and Grill for holding an event to help raise money to redo the floor in the Payson High School old gym.
She reported that the district has two cases of COVID currently in the last week. The School Board Facilities has agreed to help pay for the eviction of the bats from the PHS Auditorium. Mrs. Gibson attended Hidden in Plain Sight at the Expedition Church last Thursday. This was put on by Jackie Wallace with Gear Up, Payson Police and Gila County Health Department. It was geared toward parents and the community regarding vaping. Linda Gibson thanked the transportation department, Lisa Evans and Jennifer Murphy for their assistance when two of our buses with six kids were stuck on one side or the other of an accident north of town. There were four students on one bus and that bus turned around and came back to town. Jennifer Murphy stayed with them at RCMS until their parents could pick them up. Two students were on a bus heading south and were stuck in traffic. They hunkered down until the accident was cleared about 2 hours later. Lisa Evans and transportation kept in communications with the parents of those students. |
