3. Light Management System at MS-HS
Description:
A few weeks ago we asked to have the west side parking lot lights at the MS-HS working prior to volleyball games and other evening activities. They met our request and everything appeared to be working okay. Then, on Tuesday they were not on and it was pitch black. Unfortunately, an older lady fell walking to her car after the volleyball game. We were told the following day by Klein Electric, "the lights are on a time clock and for some reason the time clock did not turn them on. Chris is wiring the lights direct for tonight and we have a new time clock ordered that will be installed tomorrow." We have decided to leave the lights on outside 24/7 until the south end is finished and the new light system is commissioned. Because the lights are LED the cost will be minimal, especially compared to paying for doctor bills and possible lawsuits. |

5. Update on Levy Certification
Description:
Please see an update to the levy certification. Mary said there may be some additional adjustments, but it's much closer to the final. Yes, if everything remains the same taxes will go down 1.42% as a whole group. A business or homeowner's taxes will always go up or down based on changes to their own individual property valuation. For example, it is possible for a home owner's taxes to drop 3% and another person's raise 2%. |
