1. Call Committee on American Civics to Order:
Discussion:
Chairperson Roach called the committee meeting to order at 6:30 PM.

2. Determination of Legality of the Committee Meeting and Roll Call
Discussion:
Chairperson Roach acknowledged that the notice of the committee meeting was given in advance by publication appearing in the May 1, 2025, edition of the Doniphan Herald in accordance with the Board-approved method for giving notice of meetings and as required by the Nebraska Revised Statute 79-724. Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all members of the Board of Education. The availability of the agenda was communicated in the publicized notice, and a current copy of the Agenda was maintained as stated in the publicized notice. All proceedings of the Board of Education, except as may be hereinafter noted, were taken while the convened meeting is open to the attendance of the public as indicated by the Open Meetings Act on the West wall of the boardroom.

4.1. Review the requirements of the Committee on American Civics based on State Statute and Board Policy.
Discussion:
Dr. Braden reviewed the requirements of state statutes for the Committee on American Civics.

4.2. Review of the current D-T Social Studies Curriculum by grade level
Discussion:
Mr. Engel, Elementary Principal, and Mrs. Goracke, Secondary Principal, reviewed the school's efforts and accomplishments relative to the statutory requirements.

Discussion:
Chairperson Roach adjourned the committee meeting at 6:38 PM.
