VI. District Accolades

Thank you to the Berean Church and the City of Broken Bow for the use of the Municipal building. We appreciate using your spaces for our activities.
EL program is going well in our District. Shout out to the teachers tutoring Bow Club: Stacey McMeen, Teresa Smith, Katy Cooksly, Jenna Evans. Indian Savings is a wonderful program sponsored by Nebraska State Bank at North Park. Cal Wells has been invited to play in the Shrine Bowl this summer. Addison Ellis has been invited to play in the NSAA all star game. Skylar Morris has been honored by being asked to coach this game. Career & Tech organizations have scheduled Coach VJ, TJS on Demand a motivational speaker to come to Broken Bow on January 29th. Math club will go to UNL in February for Math Day. National Honor Society has begun tutoring 9th hour with the middle school students. Brynn Custer received the KLOP Scholarship. Danny Woodhead will come to speak in February. |

Pam Holcomb has been elected to the NASB Board of Directors.
Pam Holcomb will be attending the Legislative Issues Conference in Lincoln later this month. |

Construction update: Garage doors on the CTE area have been installed. Panels will be replaced that were damaged in shipping. Issues with the front entry brick will be corrected once temperatures are favorable. February 10th is the date the gym work will begin. Most of the work will be between 3 pm - 11 pm to avoid disruption to the school day.

The board has a handshake deal with the teacher's on negotiations, with a two year agreement. Recruit, retain and retire was the message of these negotiations. The Board will vote on this in the February board meeting.
