3.1. Board consideration of the property tax request for the General Fund $4,952,154, Building Fund $125,384 and Bond Fund $507,070 for the 2018-2019 fiscal year.
Discussion:
The Board held a public hearing regarding the property tax request for the upcoming year. The request is $4,952,154 for the General Fund (a decrease of approximately $25,000); $125,384 for the Building Fund ( a $2,000 increase); and $507,070 for the Bond Fund, for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. The increase $133,332 for the bond fund is the result of refinancing the bond. The increase allows payments for accelerated payments in the near future, with the end result of the refinancing being a savings of approximately $232,000 over the life of the bond, and allowing the bond to be paid off two years earlier. |
