Vice President Lacey called the Open Meeting for Committee on American Civics to order at 7:00 PM in the Boardroom at the High School. Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all board members. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by publication and/or posting in accordance with the Board-approved method for giving notice. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the publicized notice and a current copy of the agenda was maintained as stated in the publicized notice. All proceedings of the meeting occurred in accordance with the Open Meetings Act.

3.1. Examine Social Studies curriculum and ensure it follows all criteria pursuant to LB 399

The Hayes Center Social Studies curriculum is aligned with the Social Studies standards which were adopted by the state. It teaches the foundational knowledge in civics, history, economics, financial literacy, and geography and fulfills all the requirements set forth in Nebraska Statue Section 79-760.01.
