II. Background
Description:
Each year our Joint PERA RIF Committee must reaffirm its
previous decisions regarding the guidelines for placement into categories as
well as determine how teachers coming into our district are to be categorized.
These are the decisions that have been in place since 2012.

III. Reaffirmation of Decisions
Description:
1) All
teachers that have received an “excellent” rating on the last two performance
evaluations and teachers with “excellent’ ratings on two of their last three
performance evaluation, with the third rating being “satisfactory” or
“proficient” ratings will be in Group 4.
2) All tenured and non-tenured teachers that have received a “satisfactory” or “proficient” performance rating on both of their last two evaluations will be in Group 3. 3) Anyone who was “Satisfactory” was carried over to “Proficient”. 4) The teacher evaluation committee met and put in place a four tier ranking system for evaluations for the 2012-2013 school year. 5) Experienced teachers from another district entering the Dist. 23 system will not be able to carry over prior evaluations from other districts. District 23 will not accept previous evaluations. Therefore, the highest group a teacher entering our district can be placed in is Group 3 after their first year of service with a satisfactory or excellent rating. |
