6.1. Stephanie Banzhaf - Cruisin Card Trip update
Discussion:
Stephanie Banzhaf presented the recent trip the Cruisin Cards group took. Three days were spent in Rome, Italy, then they went on to travel to Greece where they went on a cruise. The BC students were wonderful. They learned a lot and gained lots of different experiences. The travel logistics went smoothly; the kids handled hiccups with grace and positivity. The entire trip was 12 days long.
On another note, Mrs. Banzhaf mentioned one student who scored high enough to apply for the silver seal of bi literacy. The AAPPL testing will take place in the fall and the STAMP testing will take place in the spring for our spanish III and IV students. |

6.2. Madi Rankin - CKC Updates
Discussion:
Madi Rankin presented an overview of the 10-week long summer CKC program, with over 50 students attending. A big focus was forming local partnerships with the community and getting involved with visiting the different businesses in town. The 2025-26 CKC registration will open on Monday, July 21st at 9:00 am. The 2025-26 CKC rates are staying the same at $150/month/student. However, the 10% discount for multi-student families has been removed. Free/reduced scholarships are available upon approval. Full-time students will be accepted first. The full-day drop-in fee is $40/day for non-current students and $30/day for current students. The first day of 2025-26 CKC is the first day of school, August 14th, with the last day being May 19th. Wednesday mornings are also available at $20/month/student. Grants that will be applied for include Big Give, the Catalyst Grant, Beyond School Bells, and AEF. The grants support activities such as the weekly clubs. The high school staff may have the opportunity to attend a conference again this year.

6.3. Boone Central Recognitions
Discussion:
Knott- I would like to recognize all administrative and business office staff. Even though the building is mostly empty, I appreciate the work they do administratively and operationally with requisitions, data management, etc in preparation for the upcoming school year. Roberts- I would like to shout out to the custodial and maintenance staff for all the work they have been doing this summer. They have a lot of irons in the fire and do a great job managing all of it. Frey- Thank you to the custodial staff for all the summer work they are completing. They have been busy getting ready for the school year. Also, thanks to Jordan Classen and Kathy Beckman for the work they have done in preparing for the burger bash that will take place during the Open House on August 13th. Stuhr- I would like to recognize all the students who have participated in the 4H program, they do a great job handling their school work in addition to their 4H projects. Fogleman- I would like to send a shout out to our maintenance/janitorial staff. They have done a great job this summer getting things ready and looking great. Also, with some leaking this week, they jumped into action and got things cleaned up and dried off quickly. I appreciate their quick response and dedication. Rolf- absent Look- Thank you to everyone who has helped me and my family with the transition! From admin, office staff, board members, the custodial team, to several other people in the district and community that have helped us feel welcome. A special thanks to Lauren, Jordan, Tori, and Theresa and the entire office staff! I have especially leaned on Lauren to help get me up to speed on a lot of the ins and outs of the district! They are a great team and I look forward to continuing to work closely with all of them. Thank you all for this opportunity! Larsen- Thank you to the Building and Grounds crew. There are always a lot of "summer projects" that are on the to-do list to complete each year. This group has done a great job of working to get these projects completed as well as to get the entire buildings/campus ready for another school year. I would like to recognize and thank them for their efforts. Everything is looking great even as they are working to finish some of these projects before the end of the summer. Curry- absent Kayton- I would like to recognize Madi Rainkin and the CKC staff. Madi has done great things over there over the past couple of years. She has grown the program and has done a great job getting the kids excited about it! I have heard nothing but great things about the program from parents! We appreciate all of your work, Madi! Perone- absent |
