Description:
At the first committee meeting of the year, each committee must elect its chairperson.

4. PUBLIC COMMENT, INFORMATIONAL ITEM
Description:
This time is set aside for the public to make comments on items within the authority of this Board & are not for board interaction at this time. Matters raised cannot be deliberated or acted upon until properly placed on a future agenda. A "request to speak" card must be completed & submitted to the Board President. A time limit of 3 minutes per person or 5 minutes for the spokesperson for a group may be imposed. Please provide 10 copies of any handouts.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PAST MEETING, ACTION ITEM
Description:
The board is expected to approve the June 1, 2010 minutes.

6. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE DECISION REGARDING CHANGES TO EXISTING POLICIES & ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS, ACTION ITEM
Description:
Changes to the existing policies are in bold.

6.A. 5372 - EDUCATIONAL TRAVEL
Description:
Recommended for deletion. The County Commissioners have resumed handling requests.

6.B. 6120 - STAFF INVOLVEMENT IN DECISION-MAKING/SITE-BASED DECISION MAKING

6.C. 7140 - ASSIGNMENT OF STUDENTS TO CLASSES & GRADE LEVELS
Description:
This revision contains language from 7141 & 7142.

6.D. 7331 - STUDENT DRESS
Description:
This policy was added to the agenda for review.
|
|
6.E. 7840 - STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHS
Description:
The committee asked that this policy be brought back. Mr. McRae suggested a title change by adding "School Pictures" to further separate this from 7841 (Video Surveillance). The policy deals with more than just school pictures.

6.F. 8800 - INSURANCE PROGRAM/RISK MANAGEMENT
Description:
Recommend passage to first reading. Also recommend deleting policy 8810, which is a repetition of this policy.
