Description:

Description:
Recommended Action: That the board approves the check registers.

5.A. SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
Description:
Dr. Roberts will report on events that have occurred or are pending since the last board meeting.

5.B. ADMINISTRATOR REPORTS
Description:
Administrators may report on matters related to their individual assignments.
|
|
5.C. BOARD REPORTS/BOARD COMMITTEE REPORTS
Description:
Board members may report on matters of interest in the areas they represent or other assignments.

6. PUBLIC INPUT, INFORMATIONAL ITEM
Description:
This time is set aside for the public to make comments on items within the authority of this Board & are not for Board interaction at this time. Matters raised cannot be deliberated or acted upon until properly placed on a future agenda. Comments that are irrelevant, repetitious, slanderous, offensive, inflammatory, willfully disruptive or deemed personal attacks will not be permitted. A "request to speak" card must be completed & submitted to the Board President. A time limit of 3 minutes per person or 5 minutes for the spokesperson for a group may be imposed. Ten copies of handouts must be provided.

7. BOARD APPOINTMENTS, ACTION ITEM
Description:
The board president has this opportunity to make any necessary appointments.

8. CHANGE OF DATE/LOCATION OF FUTURE BOARD MEETINGS, ACTION ITEM
Description:
The board may make any change of date, time or location that has become necessary.

9. DECISION REGARDING SUBDIVISION MAPS, ACTION ITEM
Description:
Recommended Action: That the board makes a decision regarding any subdivision maps that have been forwarded from the Nye County Planning Department since the last board meeting.

10. APPROVAL OF GRANTS, ACTION ITEM
Description:
Recommended Action: That the board approves grants that have an imminent deadline.
|
|
11. RECOGNITIONS, INFORMATIONAL ITEM
Description:
The board may recognize individuals or groups who have excelled in academic or athletic pursuits or who have contributed to the District in a significant manner.

12. PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING, INFORMATIONAL ITEM

Description:
Pursuant to NRS 354.598, the board of trustees will hold a public hearing on the tentative budget, at which time interested persons must be given an opportunity to be heard.

13. REQUEST FOR VARIANCE FOR NYE STUDENT TO ATTEND CLARK COUNTY SCHOOL FOR 2009-10 SCHOOL YEAR, ACTION ITEM
Description:
The board will make a decision regarding this request.

14. AWARD OF BID: PAHRUMP VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL TRACK RE-SURFACE, ACTION ITEM

Bob Whimpey, Maintenance & Operations Supervisor
Description:
Recommended Action: That the board awards the bid to the most responsive bidder.

15. DEVELOPMENT & ADOPTION OF 2009-10 BOARD MEETING CALENDAR, ACTION ITEM
Description:
The board will set dates, times & locations for its 2009-10 meetings.

16. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE APPROVAL OF 2009-10 FINAL BUDGET, ACTION ITEM

Description:
The board will make a decision to approve the budget or table until more information is available.

Description:
