Smith County High School Cheer Team requests permission to attend Nfinity’s 2026 America’s Cheerleading Cup Championship at Universal Orlando Resorts in Florida on February 4-9, 2026. This will be an overnight trip.

III.C. Gordonsville High School Request

Gordonsville High School may have a student make the Middle Tennessee State Honor Band this year. One student is auditioning for placement in this band in competition with hundreds of other students across the mid-state on December 13th. If they make it, they will travel to Siegal High School in Murfreesboro to participate in the honor band from Thursday evening, January 15, 2026, through Saturday evening, January 17, 2026. This will be an overnight trip.

TSBA has just completed the annual audit of the policy manual which consists of a comprehensive review of the Board’s policies that are required by law and wanted to give additional information as part of the TSBA policy subscription service.

V.C. Resolution 5 for Transfer of Funds from 141 to 142

Discussion:
This request is asking the Board to approve the attached 25-26 SCBOE Resolution No 05 to move $150,000 from the General Purpose Fund 141 to the Federal Projects Fund 142. This request to move funds is for cash flow purposes since Federal Projects Fund 142 operates fully on a reimbursement basis. This funding will support expenses of Federal
Programs until reimbursements are received. The transfer will be accounted for as (21810) Revenue Anticipation Notes Payable, and the funds will be transferred back to the General Purpose Fund 141 when the cash is no longer needed to support expenses in the Federal Projects Fund. |
