7. Spotlight on Learning and Good News — Superintendent John Hauser
Rationale:
Good News - Our summer orchestra program held June 1-25 had 140 student participants, grades 4-12. We held a total of 5 concerts on June 25 for the different levels, from beginners all the way through high school. We had six orchestra alumni return to serve as helpers and mentors for our students, as well as many current high school orchestra students. We were also thrilled to inventory our brand new instruments purchased through the "Play it Forward" grant and check them out to many very eager students in our summer program! Thank you, HPS Board of Education & HPS Foundation for your continued support of our orchestra program, you are helping to make a lasting impact in the education of our young musicians! |
