Per MDE Wellness requirements, the district Wellness Committee must include at least one school board member and one administrator. Kathy Faust and Gina Anderson have been attending MDE informational webinars and are leading the committee's work. Emily SR was asked and declined. Identify a board member willing to serve on the Wellness Committee. We want to ensure this commitment is distributed equitably rather than defaulting to one person. |

FY26 Technical Assistance Calendar (Attached) AND ALSO CHARTER SCHOOL BOARD TRAINING COURSES | COURSE 100/200 For new chartered public school board members, we offer Course 100 - Welcome to the World of Charter School Governance, an in-person, on-site training that covers the charter school board’s roles and responsibilities, open meeting law, and data practices law. We also offer Board Training Course 200: Charter School Finances - A Public Trust again on Friday, March 13. This online, asynchronous course explores the basic responsibilities of a board relative to charter school finances. Request a Course 100 training or register for the upcoming Course 200 training. April-June: Conduct evaluation, share results with the school leader, and make decisions based on those results. July/August: Set goals for the upcoming school year. |
