IV.
Public Input: The policy of the education district board is to encourage discussion by persons of subjects related to the management of the district at board meetings. The board shall, as a matter of policy, protect the legal rights to privacy and due process of employees and students. Persons who wish to have a subject discussed at a public board meeting must notify the executive director’s office in advance of the board meeting. The person should provide his or her name, address, the name of group represented (if any), and the subject to be covered or the issue to be addressed. The board retains the discretion to limit discussion of any agenda item to a reasonable period of time as determined by the board.

VII.D. GCED Organzational Chart

Description:
The GCED Organizational Chart has remained largely unchanged in structure. As our organization has changed, there is a need to re-imagine this structure. We believe that these changes in structure will lead to increased efficiency, communication and clarity for our own organization and for our member districts. Our plan pending board approval is to implement this chart and take feedback over the remainder of the 2024-25 school year. We will present this feedback with recommendations at our May Board Meeting.

Description:
Attached is a recommendation for business support services, including areas such as accounts payable, UFARS reconciliation and billing. The Superintendent's Advisory Council has repeatedly inquired about increased true up to billing. Changes in district leadership also bring about requests for change. C. Johnson will provide an overview and options.
