Description:
Attached is the 2020-21 RBEC Student Handbook. This handbook uses the MSBA Student Handbook as a template. All policies that are mandated for distribution are included along with a signature page at the end that is collected.

VI.B. Assurance of Compliance Review

Description:
All school districts must complete the Assurance of Compliance with state and federal law and verify Mandated Reporting training by November 15 each year.
By completing all sections of the Assurance of Compliance and Mandated Reporting, school districts provide written assurance that they do not discriminate in their use of funds provided through the Minnesota Department of Education and that they have informed all mandated reporters of their reporting duties.

VI.C. Consideration of Administrative Assistant Position

Description:
When the program moved into RBEC, two of four support staff positions were eliminated. A year later, the GCED MARSS position was eliminated and absorbed into the two support staff positions. A resignation of one of these positions at the beginning of 19-20, was not replaced. Instead, we hired a .2 MARSS Coordinator.
The reduction of these full time positions over the past five years, resulting in just 1.2 FTE remaining combined with the increased communication and planning to address COVID-19, MDE requirements and programming have put us in a position to request board approval for a additional support position. |
