4.A. Consider/Discuss: 

• The ESSER II grant program was authorized in the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA), signed into law in December 2020. The period of availability of CRRSA ESSER II grant funds is March 13, 2020 to September 30, 2023.  Olton ISD has been awarded $696,568. For each LEA that receives a hold harmless ADA adjustment, TEA will fund a portion of that hold harmless adjustment with federal funds. This reduction will be reflected in Olton ISD’s Foundation School Program (FSP) funds.  Olton ISD will utilize their ESSER II funds to offset the reduction that will occur in FSP funds by continuing to employ existing staff in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
